Team Rules I will determine most of the basic rules concerning GPA, being late to practice, and the consequences for not reaching the statistics base marks (number of points scored in a quarter, serving percentage, etc.) set before each game by the coaching staff. However, rules concerning what to wear on game days, whether team lunches are required, etc. I will leave up to my team to decide at the beginning of the season. I also believe that because they will be setting up these rules that they are also the ones responsible for the consequences as well. 14. Scholarships I want to be an extremely active coach concerning recruiting. As a coach, I would like to eventually coach at the collegiate level and having the ability to both network as well as produce players that are scholarship worthy is a way to portray my ability as a coach. As a coach, I want what is best for my players and I want them to truly love the sport. If they come to love the sport and would like to play on in college, I want them to be able to have that opportunity. I did not have any coaches that were active in helping me to know how to recruit myself. I think that if I would have had more information about recruiting then it would have benefitted me as an athlete. I will make sure that every freshman that comes into my program is aware of the NCAA Eligibility Center and how the recruiting process works regardless of whether I think they could play collegiately.
